S2, Ep. 4: Black on the BIG SCREEN

Ilbersalle Fallon is the film critic you didn't know you need. This self-described "movie head" appreciates the power of cinematic productions to "make the world smaller." Who needs thumbs to praise or slam a flick? Not this guy. Ilbersalle utilizes his brain and exercises his quick wit. Then, his fingers get to work crafting sometimes poignant, sometimes Haiku-esque-dismissive, sometimes hilarious, but always provocative critique of film from a sorely lacking Black perspective. Here, Charlotte and Ilbersalle discuss — among other things — two very Black films streaming online at the time of this taping: Elvis Mitchell’s "Is That Black Enough For You" and Nikyatu Jusu’s "Nanny."
